July 15, 2015

Brad and Jenn gave Jed a game for Christmas called Suspend.
It consists of metal rods with colored rubber tips and varying amounts of dips.
We love games, and this one has been a fun edition.
I may be biased, though, since I tend to have the steadier hand.  :)

July 9, 2015 - Part 2

These are the ladies I spent a girls' day out with.

We had tea in Southport.
It was lovely.

July 9, 2015 - Part 1

I took the ferry from Kure Beach to Southport today with a friend and her granddaughter.
They brought bread to feed the seagulls and it was like something straight out of Alfred Hitchcock's imagination!  :)

The seagulls were quite adept at catching pieces of bread mid-flight when they were tossed in the air.

June 25, 2015

Jed took a computer coding class this week at Tek Mountain.
He actually learned to create a website!

June 18, 2015 - Part 7

Heading back down the mountain for the last time.

We had dinner, played in the pool and got to bed early so we could get to the airport early the next morning.
It was hard to leave this beautiful state.

June 18, 2015 - Part 6

This view and the next 3 are a panoramic view from the museum parking lot on top of the mountain.
This, apparently, is why Buffalo Bill wanted to be buried here.
Can't say I blame him.

June 18, 2015 - Part 5

On top of the mountain is the Buffalo Bill museum.
He's buried up here.
I didn't know much about him before visiting the museum;
he had a really interesting life in an interesting time and place in this country.

June 18, 2015 - Part 4

We pulled off on an overlook to see the view of Golden from the mountain we were on.

June 18, 2015 - Part 3

This afternoon we headed back to the Lariat Loop to catch the part we didn't cover yesterday.

June 18, 2015 - Part 2

After the museum and lunch downtown, we rode around Golden.
It's a quaint little town in a picturesque setting.
