We had another fun-filled day keeping the kids while Mama and Daddy worked.

August 30, 2015

This is a day I will never forget.
My first-born son was baptized this evening.
It was as sacred to me as my own baptism was, some 28 years ago.
Maybe more so, since I know better now what it means.
Jed and I got to Charlotte in time to meet Brad, Jenn and the kids at the church.
We waited in line with Brad for a while, talking and soaking in the joy.

Jenn came to hang out with him for a while
so Jed and I took Dyce back to where Jenn's parents were looking after Decker
and played with the kids while we waited.

We waited a long time but it was worth every minute.

I've been waiting 31 years for this.
Totally worth it.

Jed's been playing around with our Blockus game again.
I have to admit, the game pieces are gorgeous...
they're clear plastic with brilliant deep, rich colors.
As an art supply, I'd give them a 9.
Which is more than I can give them as a game...
this is one game I really don't like.
It's hard not to get angry when people start invading your space,
which is the whole cruel point.
It's best that this remain an art resource in our house,
for the sake of our marriage.  :)

What I did on summer vacation...

Jed and I kept Dyce and Decker for a couple of days while Brad and Jenn worked.
It was so. much. fun.
