I went to a new dermatologist today, 

and happily for me, 

her office is closer to the mountains.

These pics were all taken while I was driving, so they're not great, 

but the subject matter is pretty enough that I like them anyway.

(be sure to click on at least the first two, 

so you can see the mountains in the background a little better - 

you'll see why they're called the Blue Ridge Mountains)

Our grandson spent the weekend with us and we had a ball!

Today started with breakfast at Bob Evans...

 

...then progressed to his first driving lesson!

His dad was 9 when his granddad began teaching him to drive,

so I'm continuing the tradition 

(albeit one year late - but I think 10 is a more reasonable age to begin). :)

He did really well!

And boy, was he excited.  :)

We ended the day with 2 hours of playing out front...

throwing a football and a huge frisbee, 

playing keep-away with the football,

hitting baseballs,

and tennis - that was my favorite.

I was so tired!

But for some odd reason, when I used my exercise machine afterwards,

I felt stronger than I have since I started using it again recently.

I really need this boy to come live with me -

it would be like boot camp for Grammy!  :)

I got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and I'm so thrilled to have that done!  

But...I was really sick today from it.

My temperature got up to 102 later in the day (after this pic was taken),

and I had terrible chills and body aches.

If the vaccine makes me feel this badly, I'm really thankful I didn't get the virus!

My sweet neighbor Maritza made the rounds Sunday night 

delivering flowers to the whole neighborhood 

that were left over from a wedding the previous day.  

I don't usually like white flowers, but this one was exquisite.

We headed out this evening in time to see a nice cloud formation  on the horizon.

Then I noticed in the southern sky a nearly-full moon.

(it's in the center of the pic...

kind of small, but I wanted to get the clouds too)

That interesting cloud formation is more visible here.

(but my windshield is always dirty. :)
