October 28, 2014

We continue to have blue and white herons stopping by in the same basic area of the marsh.  I still haven't found out if they nest in the fall, but I'm beginning to think perhaps it has more to do with food nearby.

I was so happy to get these shots of the heron's take-off - the gangly legs are so amusing.  :)

Jed is making himself at home in the trees.

Meanwhile, workers are making themselves at home in the inner workings of our house.

This is what happens when flashing is not attached properly, and a small leak ignored becomes a big problem.

October 18, 2014 - Part 7

We went to a corn maze after the game.
It was Dyce's first time!
So glad we got to share that with him.

October 18, 2014 - Part 6

Game over!
I feel badly that by asking Dyce to look at the camera,
I was encouraging him to disregard the arm pointing him in the direction of the dug-out.
But I love this picture.  :)

Decker was dying to be part of the action for most of the game.
The final line up was her last chance to be part of the team,
and she took full advantage of it.

Touchdown!
haha

Final encouragement from the coach.

October 18, 2014 - Part 5

One more time up to bat, one more hilarious run to first base.

Is it just me, or does he look like he's going to thoroughly enjoy running over this first baseman?  :)

October 18, 2014 - Part 4

Getting ready for his second time up to bat.

I know this is a lot of pictures considering all Dyce was doing was running to first base, but they are so hilarious I couldn't choose just a couple.  :)
