I finally tamed the jungle in the back yard and it's looking pretty lush,

which, considering we live in what's called the high desert,

is saying something.

We had so much fun today trying to make clouds in a jar!  :)

If you look closely, you can see the "clouds" moving from this picture to the next.

Jed had a friend over today for lunch at Pizza Hut and an afternoon at the Splash water park in town.

When we got home, a package was on our front porch with this gorgeous quilt in it,

handmade by my sweet, generous sister-in-law in Connecticut,

for the Minecraft lover in our family!

Jed and I went to the Golden History Museum today.

It's small but pretty nice.

We're kind of fascinated with the mining history.

This quilt was made by a church group, who included stitched signatures of members, over 100 years ago.

This family is standing in the general area of where our house is...

we may be a little closer to South Table Mountain,

which is shown in the background,

but the angle is pretty close to what we see from our house.
