April Fool's Day!

...only Jed didn't think they looked quite right.
haha
He was right...they were peach halves on top of yogurt.
I think if the peaches had been smaller he might have been fooled. :)

He was excited to learn that I had made Kool-Aid and even more excited to see that I offered it to him for breakfast.
I wish you could have seen his face when he brought the glass to his mouth and nothing came out!
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it before he stuck his fork in this glass of Jello. :)

I laughed all the way to the refrigerator to get him a glass of milk.
Only it had gelatin in it too - and he fell for it again!!!!
He was such a good sport -
he laughed as much as I did. :)

I made brownies in the morning while he was doing some independent
schoolwork,
and he asked for one after lunch.
Being a health-conscious mom, I offered him only one brown E. :)
I know that prank is kind of lame
but I still think it's kind of funny. :)

This was probably my favorite prank, and Dad, I know it will be yours as well...
they didn't look like much by the time I took this picture,
but these caramel apples were beautiful when I offered one to Jed.
Imagine his surprise when he bit into it to discover it was a caramel onion!
Yum.

This one was pretty funny too...
we read a few poems each day out of this book so it was sitting on our school table
and Jed jumped on that dollar bill sticking out like a tick jumping on a dog.
Only when he pulled it out he saw that it was just the corner,
attached to a note warning him not to chase easy riches. :)

You're a hoot!!! I'm glad Jed was a good sport about all your April Foolery!!!
Thanks for the encouragement - I am finding that I've become a bit of a bore in my old age so I'm trying to liven things up a bit. :) Jed was pretty disappointed that I was back to my old self again today. :D
