The sensor for this indoor/outdoor thermometer is on the back porch.  I took this picture just a few minutes ago...the sun is hitting the sensor right now, but it's almost 6:00, so it's not like the sun is beating down on it at noontime in the middle of summer.  It's October, and it's 6:00 in the evening - and it's 91 degrees on my back porch.

I think I did a pretty good job not being depressed this first summer back in the south.  But it's October, for crying out loud!

It's 58 degrees in Maine.

Excuse me while I go cry, y'all.
