I finally got to one of our granddaughter's soccer games this morning.
It was a beautiful day and such a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.
And they won!
Our grandson shared his hard-won football medal.
And our son shared his super-cute baby. :)
Our oldest granddaughter's birthday is the day after Jed's,
and I had told all the grandkids when we moved here that I wanted to celebrate their birthdays
with a special time at our house, with each of them alone.
It's hard to say who was more excited about this first celebration, her or me. :)
She loves to help in the kitchen, so the first order of business was to bake a birthday cake for her dad,
whose birthday is tomorrow.
Next up on the schedule...
playing grocery store with the shopping cart, food items and cash register I bought recently.
I loved this more than you would think. :)
We took turns being the storekeeper and she grew tired of it before I did. :D
Not included in this pictorial are playing hairstylist,
reading,
shopping for dress shoes for church tomorrow morning,
reading some more,
cooking dinner,
eating cake
and
opening birthday gifts.
She's a little obsessed with mermaids right now and this was one of her gifts.
The evening ended with a bubble bath in a huge jacuzzi tub.
Spoiling grandchildren has to be one of the sweetest pleasures of life. :)
