We spotted this heron under the dock today. I've never before seen one actively fishing/hunting...usually they're just standing around looking half asleep. This one was actually stalking his prey, which he eventually captured and ate, though I couldn't tell what it was.
Jed went out to get a better look at him and offer some bread but he was having none of it, and let Jed know just what he thought about it as he flew away.
