June 15, 2014

There's a crepe myrtle in my parents' front yard that Brad used to love.  Jed tried to duplicate his brother's pose in the same tree captured in a photograph 20 years earlier.

Here's the picture.  Jed did a pretty good job but the tree has changed a bit in 20 years, making an exact duplication impossible.  We're still trying to figure out what happened to the second branch of the fork on the right, up against Brad's back.

Apparently that position was more comfortable 20 years ago...Jed found a more relaxing spot to hang out in.

Jed hadn't noticed the mallard in the neighbor-across-the-street's yard till I pointed it out to him.

He thought that was pretty funny.  :)

When we got home from dinner the night before, there were several clipped branches of leaves on the ground under the tree in the front yard...we think we found the squirrel's nest they fell out of.

And one last shot of Jed in the crepe myrtle.
He's wishing we had one in our yard.  :)
