I'm not sure why it's taken me more than a month to get pictures posted of our last day together, but I suspect it has something to do with not wanting the visit with Brad and Jennifer to be over.
However, I have a lot of pictures of our last-day adventures to share, and it's time to get on with it.
We got up early that morning and drove down to Port Clyde to catch a mailboat heading to Monhegan Island ten miles offshore. It was quite foggy, which was a little disappointing at first, but it gave the day a bit of an ethereal feeling which was oddly pleasant.
The boats are a mixture of sailing and lobstering vessels. The lighthouse is Marshall Point in Port Clyde.
Jennifer took these pictures (which is why they are so good) while we were still in the harbor.
Enjoy!
