Jed and I went to the Golden History Museum today.

It's small but pretty nice.

We're kind of fascinated with the mining history.

This quilt was made by a church group, who included stitched signatures of members, over 100 years ago.

This family is standing in the general area of where our house is...

we may be a little closer to South Table Mountain,

which is shown in the background,

but the angle is pretty close to what we see from our house.

I started this beautiful Saturday morning in the next door neighbor's back yard, 

watering their grass and plants for them while they're on vacation.

The sunbeams filtering through the sprinkler spray was captivating.

I spent the afternoon in the hammock in our own back yard, playing with my camera

and trying (again) (unsuccessfully) to read the owner's manual.

Another example of background in focus, then foreground in focus.

That's the one thing I've got down pat.  :)

I made yet another trip to Boulder today, on the way to another day in Loveland with my friend.

The sky was gorgeous!  

We drove around Loveland a lot today, looking at the town...it's really beautiful.

But this...this is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken...

I love the grass and the hay bales and those beautiful mountains in the background.

Jed headed out today for a week-long, 60 mile canoe trip on the Green River in Utah, 

with his Trail Life troop.  

Excuse the jungle in the backyard...the rainy weather has made it hard to keep up with.  :)

Another trip to Boulder for a follow-up appointment today...and another rainy day.

The mountains are behind those clouds!

I've enjoyed the low humidity here, but I've missed rainy days,

so I'm pretty happy for the ones we've had lately...it's been nice.

We took a detour on the way home, heading east towards the plains - 

I wish I had a wide angle lens to show you how much sky there is out here.

It's amazing.

I spent the day with a friend in Loveland, home of Group Publishing, and this magnificent fireplace...

...and this surprise.  :)

After lunch in the Group Publishing cafe, we went for a walk in a local sculpture park.
